We are happy to continue our new inspired by Drug Hunter’s “Small Molecules of the Month” series!

Here are two molecules which were recently highlighted by Drug Hunter!

Using Chemspace will allow you to get off-the-shelf and synthetic analogs to these compounds.

1.“Compound 5i” is a potent O-GlcNAcase (OGA) inhibitor discovered recently by Takeda team. “Compound 5i” was identified by virtual screening, based on multiple methodologies combining structure-based and ligand-based approaches.

2.NVS-BET-1 is a novel bromodomain and extra-terminal domain (BET) protein family inhibitor identified by the Novartis team. NVS-BET-1 was discovered through optimization of a hit from a high-throughput phenotypic screening of primary keratinocytes. Now this candidate is close to becoming an oral drug that potently influences wound healing at low doses (abt. 1 mg/kg).
