In May 2020, the article 'Discovery of a NAPE-PLD inhibitor that modulates emotional behavior in mice' (https://go.nature.com/2BDJEKx) describing the discovery and characterization of LEI-401 as a CNS-active N-acylphosphatidylethanolamine phospholipase D (NAPE-PLD) inhibitor was published.
LEI401 is a selective, brain-penetrant inhibitor of NAPE-PLD, an enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of various N-acylethanolamine (NAE) signaling lipids. It contains tri-substituted pyrimidine moiety, a part of an important class of natural and non-natural products, which exhibit useful biological activities and clinical applications.
We have made a set of Building Blocks, which contain such moiety – the perfect start for your research!
