Here are two molecules that were recently highlighted by Drug Hunter!

 

1. NVP-CLR457 is an orally active, potent, non-CNS-penetrating, and well-balanced pan-class IA phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) inhibitor. PI3 kinases are a part of the PI3K-Akt−mTOR intracellular signaling pathway. The changes in this pathway promote the oncogenesis of multiple cancers. NVP-CLR457 was progressed into Phase I with PI3K-dependent solid tumors.

2. TXA6101 is a bacterial filamentous temperature-sensitive mutant Z (FtsZ) protein inhibitor. FtsZ protein is essential for bacterial cell division and viability. And its inhibitors represent a new drug class targeting Gram-negative bacteria. TXA6101 inhibits the polymerization of E. coli FtsZ in a concentration-dependent manner and induces changes in the morphology of E. coli and K. pneumonia.
