Last June, a group of researchers published an article ‘The application of ubiquitin ligases in the PROTAC drug design’. They showed, that ubiquitin ligases can be employed as tools in proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs) for drug discovery. Moreover, a short-list of E3 ligases, applied to this technology now can be found in the article.
The authors also discussed the advantages and existing problems of PROTACs and proposed a few principles for selecting ubiquitin ligases in further PROTAC applications.

In our opinion, this is a great way to finish up our information week!
