Chemspace is proud to be part of LIGAND-AI, a new project funded by the Innovative Health Initiative, focused on improving AI-driven drug discovery through genuinely open science.

The project is led by Pfizer and the Structural Genomics Consortium, with strong scientific leadership from people like Aled Edwards and Dafydd Owen.

LIGAND-AI will generate high-quality, openly available protein–ligand datasets designed to support the next generation of AI models and enable more reliable prediction of drug-like binders across thousands of human proteins. That focus on data quality, openness, and usability matters more than model novelty alone.

We’re also glad to collaborate closely with Enamine Germany, whose chemistry and operational expertise are essential for turning ambitious open datasets into something practically useful for discovery teams.
